We are seeking dependable Security Guards to help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, residents, visitors, and properties. Security assignments may vary and can include commercial properties, residential buildings, construction sites, events, retail locations, vacant properties, and mobile patrol.

The ideal candidate is professional, observant, reliable, and able to remain calm and make sound decisions in various situations.

Pay: $18.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on the site, assignment, experience, and responsibilities.

Duties

  • Monitor and patrol assigned properties and premises.
  • Monitor CCTV and other security systems where applicable.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify suspicious activity, safety concerns, or unauthorized access.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and security concerns as required.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and access points.
  • Enforce site rules and procedures.
  • Maintain a visible and professional security presence.
  • Assist clients, residents, employees, and visitors in a professional manner.
  • Prepare detailed daily activity reports and incident reports.
  • Document and report suspicious activity, property damage, theft, or other security concerns.
  • Contact police, fire, ambulance, or other emergency services when necessary.
  • Follow site-specific post orders and instructions.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and other security personnel.
  • Perform other security-related duties as required by the assignment.

Job Summary

Guard Tower Security Inc. is looking for reliable, professional, and observant Mobile Security Guards / Mobile Patrol Officers to join our growing team in Calgary and surrounding areas.

We are seeking dependable Mobile Security Guards who are comfortable working independently and travelling between multiple client locations. Mobile Security Guards are responsible for conducting scheduled patrols, responding to alarms and security concerns, inspecting properties, and providing a visible security presence throughout assigned areas.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, is comfortable driving for extended periods, and can respond professionally to changing situations.

Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on the assignment, experience, responsibilities, and required qualifications.

Duties

  • Conduct scheduled mobile patrols of commercial, residential, construction, and vacant properties.
  • Respond to alarm calls and security-related requests.
  • Perform exterior and interior property inspections as required.
  • Check doors, gates, windows, access points, and other vulnerable areas.
  • Identify and report suspicious activity, trespassing, vandalism, theft, and property damage.
  • Respond to incidents and assess situations appropriately.
  • Contact police, fire, ambulance, or other emergency services when required.
  • Complete detailed patrol and incident reports.
  • Take photographs and document security concerns when required.
  • Perform lock-up and unlock services when assigned.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch, supervisors, and clients.
  • Provide a visible and professional security presence at client locations.
  • Follow assigned patrol routes, schedules, and post orders.
  • Maintain a clean and professional company vehicle when operating a Guard Tower patrol vehicle.
  • Ensure all required patrol equipment is properly maintained and available.
  • Complete other security-related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Valid Alberta Security Services Worker Licence.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Clean or acceptable driving record.
  • Reliable transportation or ability to operate a company patrol vehicle.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong observation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during incidents.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
  • Previous mobile patrol or security experience is an asset.
  • First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
